Wings for Dingle's Walking on Cars as Red Bull team come to town

Wings for Dingle

A team of camera men and publicists descended on Garfinny last Wednesday to film a new promo for West Kerry band Walking on Cars who sailed through to the second phase of the Red Bull Bedroom Jam last week.
Patrick Sheehy (vocals and rhythm guitar), Sorcha Durham (piano), Paul Flannery (bass guitar), Evan Hadnett (drums) and Tom Kavanagh (lead guitar and backing vocals) rocked out in their living room as the Red Bull team filmed the performance which is now available to watch online at RedBullBedroomJam.ie.
An EP is in the pipeline and the band are also gearing up for an appearance in Whelan’s in Dublin next month.
Walking on Cars became the second band to get through the first phase of Red Bull Bedroom Jam; their success in the competition depends on online activity on the Red Bull site along with views on YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, MySpace and other social media outlets. The Red Bull Buzz Chart measures the online activity. Walking on Cars are now into the final six; if they make it to the last three they will get to play at a major Irish music festival. From that three one will be chosen to record at Red Bull Studios.
